Current position: Currently running my own showjumping, sales and breeding yard.

What I enjoy the most is bringing on and educating young green horses to bring out their full potential, and watching them progress in the sport. It brings a great satisfaction to know that you did your job right and they have had the best start to their careers.

I completed the Level 5 and 6 Horsemanship Equitation course in Kildalton College. The most important aspects of the course for me was the Young Horse breaking and training module. The wealth of knowledge from all of my lectures was invaluable and I learned how to correctly train horses in a way which keeps them happy and for them to understand what we were trying to teach them in the easiest way.

The next steps for me are to keep improving my business and facilities at home, and to keep producing good horses for my clients and future customers.

What I would say to someone wanting to pursue a career in this sector is that you have to be able to take the good days with the bad days and stay positive whatever you are doing- always keeping your goals in sight.
