Name: Simon Cavanagh

I wanted to do my Green Cert and was always interested in pursuing a career with horses. Kildalton allowed me to achieve both of these goals.

The teachers really inspired me to learn as much as I could about the equine industry and opened my eyes to different career paths within the industry.

I formed lasting friendships with my peers and also teachers at the College. These connections have been a great help to me in my quest to become a successful jockey. I race ride for some of Ireland’s most successful point to point trainers and have ridden many winners between the flags.

I attribute my success in the point to point field to the grounding and support that I received at Kildalton.
