Guidance Notes for 6th years. Jan. 2021 

 

1)IADT are running a series of “Spotlight Sessions” featuring their degree programmes. Begins today. Register at https://iadt.ie/spotlight-sessions 

2) All the colleges of Further Education are open for application. 

3) Monday 18/1/21 UCD Business Open Evening, 5-6.30 pm. This covers the BCommBComm Int., Bus & Law and Economics and Finance. Register at www.myucd.ie 

4) Maynooth University has a web chat feature if you need to find out about any of their degree courses. 

5) TCD have a number of webinars this month 

   21/1/21 6pm “What does 1st yr in TCD look like” 

   27/1/21 6pm TCD entry routes 

   28/1/21 6pm Students stories and Q & A 

   29/1/21 1-7pm Drop in Q & A session 

6) UCAS extended the application deadline to Jan. 29th 

7)CAO deadline is Feb. 1st 

   Discounted fee until Jan.20th 

   Restricted courses must be down by Feb. 1st 

8) Register for the HPAT by January 20th. Test will take place 20/21 February. 

9) HEAR and DARE. There are relevant videos on careersportal. 

   Apply to CAO by Feb.1st, do the online application by March 1st and have documentation in by March 15thOutcome will be known by late June 2021. 

10) Accounting Technicians programme registration deadline is Jan 29th 

11) There will be 50,000 new places in Further Education this year.
