Irish Students looking to enter third level education in the UK from September have received assurances fom the Department of Education and Skills around the continuation of the SUSI grant for enrolment in UK colleges for the 2020/21 academic year.
The joint statement from Ministers Joe McHugh and Minister Mary Mitchell O’Connor was made in order to provide assurance for those that wish to study in the UK this year with regards to grant supports.
This decision will make sure that eligible Irish and EU students looking to enrol in approved third level courses in the UK for the 2020/21 academic year will be eligible for SUSI grants and those who qualify for these grants will be eligible for these grants for the full duration of their course.
Further to this, Students from the UK looking to enrol in approved Irish third level courses will be treated under the same terms as Irish students.
