Tech firm Toast to create 120 jobs at new Dublin office

Toast, Inc., a restaurant management platform, has announced plans for large-scale expansion of its workforce in Ireland, as it launches its new Dublin office on Westmoreland St in the heart of the city centre. The company established its first international technology and product centre back in 2017, and since then, the headcount has grown to 40 employees locally.

The company has experienced great success since its establishment in 2013. Its product has enabled restaurants to streamline operations, allowing their customers to delight their diners with the ultimate customer experience. As Toast's customer portfolio has grown, their need for top talent has risen steadily. Those currently working at Toast's Dublin office include software engineers, software developers, and customer support professionals. The 120 additional roles planned for the new office include positions in software development, software engineering, data analytics, and product design. See all open positions here.

Minister for Business, Enterprise and Innovation, Heather Humphreys TD, welcomed the announcement, noting the power Ireland's highly skilled, talented workforce has to attract top companies to our shores. The announcement by Toast, which is supported by the Irish Government through IDA Ireland, received a similar welcome from Mary Buckley, Executive Director of IDA Ireland. Buckley attributed the investment made by Toast, and other high growth international companies, to the "ease of access to a talented workforce" in the country.

Hugh Scandrett, Toast's Senior Vice President of Engineering, cited Dublin's status as "a recognised technology hub in Europe" as one of the primary reasons for the investment in the new office at Ballast House. He echoed the statements of Humphreys and Buckley, adding to the praise of Ireland's tech talent, which he said will be instrumental in Toast's growth over the next few years.
