Working closely with the art department, construction departments include trades such as painters, carpenters, riggers, plasterers, as well as specialist film construction roles such as stagehands. This department includes highly skilled master craftsperson roles such as Scenic Painter.

To work in a craft role in this department, you need to have the relevant construction-related skills and qualifications (apprenticeship/ CSCS/Safepass, etc.), and also require specialist knowledge of how these skills are customised in a film environment.
