The Concept Artist collaborates with the director, production designer, DOP, and others to realise the creative vision of a film or TV production.
They must produce concept illustrations of key sets and environments that help communicate designers’ ideas.
The Concept Artists’ work often begins months before a production starts filming, as they must carry out research about the relevant period, characters, props, and locations for a particular project.
They must develop and visualise various elements such as characters, props, and specific visual details – for example, weapons, costumes or vehicles.

Ability to understand the production designer and director’s creative vision and the ability to translate it into concept art.
Knowledge of camera angles, lighting, storytelling, and other elements of filmmaking
Excellent illustration and drawing skills.

Strong communication skills to explain ideas to the director, production designer, and camera department.
Skills in 3D modelling and rendering applications.
