It is imperative that a company not only hires the correct people for the production, but also maintains a positive work environment for everyone involved. The Human Resources (HR) Manager is in place to oversee the recruitment and employee administration duties of VFX artists.
Their responsibilities may include:
- The advertising of job roles and targeting the appropriate channels.
- Collate submissions of CV’s and artist showreels.
- Organise and carry out interviews of potential team members.
- Establish and ensure adherence to the company’s HR policies and practices.
- Oversee new employee orientations to the team and ensure that they understand and are comfortable with the VFX companies work protocols.
- Provide assistance to new employees with any relocation needs such as banking, taxation, accommodation, and travel.
- Build a database of potential VFX artists for future contact.
- Carry out staff performance reviews if required.
