Role and Responsibilities
- The Trainee Editor carries out various tasks under the direction of the editor and assistant editor.
- Supporting the editor and assistant editor throughout the production and post-production stages.
- They must learn about the functions of the department.
- They must read the script prior to filming, and if necessary, ask questions to gain a full understanding of the story and project.
- Responsible for performing administration tasks such as
- labelling picture and sound files and camera sound and continuity notes.
- filing away all notes in an efficient manner.
