Award for Work Experience / Career Investigation with a Foreign Language

To enter this stream of the competition you must undertake a Work Experience Placement where you use foreign language skills. If you can't find a work experience placement that involves using languages, then complete the Career Investigation section of the competition based on a career where Foreign Languages play an important role.

To Apply

Students apply to the competition in the normal way. Your application will be eligible for any of the main prizes and will also be included in this new category if it is associated with a career using foreign languages.

There are so many exciting career opportunities to discover with a foreign language. Ireland is one the world's most open economies, with many multi-national companies right on our doorstep. Languages can be used as a 'Hard' skill in careers such as teaching and interpreting and also used as a 'Soft' skill to help enhance your opportunities in the world of business, technology or science.
