City of Dublin FET College - New Tertiary Programme: Bachelor Business (Hons) Business & Psychology

City of Dublin FET College Central Campus Ballsbridge (formerly Ballsbridge College): New Tertiary Programme: Bachelor Business (Hons) Business & Psychology, starting September 2025 

The Bachelor of Business (Hons) Business & Psychology programme will be offered in the college in September. This four-year honour degree programme is offered in partnership with IADT Dun Laoghaire. 

Rapidly evolving technology is a constant in modern business life, and managing change and people is critical to success. Research highlights the value of the interrelationship between business and psychology. The combined insights from both will give graduates the skills and tools to navigate an ever-changing business landscape.

This course is delivered collaboratively: students will study in City of Dublin FET College Central Campus Ballsbridge in Year 1 and 2.  Students are based at Dun Laoghaire Institute of Art and Design (IADT) for Year 3 and 4 of the programme.

Students learn in a flexible way, advised and guided by experienced programme staff.

Students on this course will

  • Gain an understanding of the theory, concepts and methods relevant to business and psychology.
  • Develop detailed knowledge of the specialised competencies required to work in a wide range of roles.
  • Learn the necessary competencies through studies and topics-based seminars.
  • Work with technologies, processes and environments relevant to the broad field of business and psychology.
  • Learn how to apply a psychological lens, gaining insight into employee behaviour and dynamics.
  • Gain a deeper understanding of conflict resolution and collaboration
