Overview
This comprehensive Level 8 degree programme develops confident, independent learners and critical thinkers, with excellent leadership qualities. The combined insights from both business & psychology will give graduates the skills and tools to navigate an ever-changing business landscape. Learners will gain detailed knowledge of the specialised competencies required to work in a variety of roles including everything from entrepreneurship, marketing and HR. They will demonstrate a command of the necessary competencies through studies and topics-based seminars.
Provider Locations and Structure
• Years 1 & 2 are based in the student’s chosen ETB college with some modules provided by IADT. Students can choose to study in Ballyfermot College of Further Education or City of Dublin FET College Central Campus, Ballsbridge.
• Years 3 & 4 are based in IADT.
• There will be the option to do either an Erasmus Term, Work Placement, or Industry-linked project in Term 2 of Year 3.
Course Content – For All Years
In first year, you learn the principles of psychology, marketing, finance, digital skills, management, and research methods. Modules include personal effectiveness, and on personality and individual differences.
By second year, you deepen your understanding of marketing, finance and psychology. Modules include social entrepreneurship, organisational behaviour, intercultural studies and AI.
In third year, you are based in IADT. Subjects include consumer behaviour, social media marketing, people in organisations, and online consumer behaviour. You will also have the opportunity to gain industry experience through a work placement.
In your final year, subjects include cyberpsychology, EDI and business ethics. A major project consolidates your skills.

Entry requirements and eligibility
The minimum entry requirements for this programme are as follows:
Leaving Certificate: Grade O6/H7 or better in five Leaving Certificate subjects (or equivalent). Leaving Certificate must include English and Mathematics ( F2 maths is acceptable to meet the minimum maths entry requirement).
QQI: a minimum of a full level 5 QQI award
Mature Students: (aged 23 on or before 1st January of the course commencement year). Mature applicants do not have to meet the minimum entry requirements listed above and are considered on an individual basis (previous education, work experience, and demonstration of competence to undertake the programme.
