Outdoor Adventure Education at Cork College of FET – Kinsale College is a 1 year Level 5 course and is the main training opportunity for people interested in gaining the qualifications in outdoor and adventure education. Established in 1987, this thorough course is based in the college campus in Kinsale, utilising resources and equipment which are available ashore and afloat.
On completing this course students have gone to employment in sailing schools, activity centres in Ireland, the United Kingdom and along the Mediterranean.
This course emphasises the importance of experiential education and field studies combined with some practical educational training.

Entry Requirements: A Leaving Certificate / Leaving Certificate Applied or equivalent is required to enter this course. For mature students appropriate experience will be considered in lieu of formal qualifications. All applicants are required to attend an interview. An offer of a place on this course means the applicant has met the minimum entry requirements set out and attended for interview
Progression Opportunities:
Completion of this course leads to a QQI Major Award, with which you can progress to a number of Higher Education courses, including CAO courses.
