This course provides learners with the practical skills, knowledge and experience to progress in this exciting and growing field. The course provides learners with an introduction to laboratory skills, medical terminology, sterilisation practices and chemistry through practical laboratory work. This allows learners to develop the knowledge, skills and techniques required for work in modern health sciences or alternatively as a pathway to various related degree programmes.

All our Level 5 PLC courses are open to school leavers (Leaving Cert/ Leaving Cert Applied Students/A Levels/GCSE or equivalent), QQI Level 4 graduates and mature applicants. A QQI Level 5 award is a prerequisite to access a Level 6 programme.
