Griffith College Cork is excited to announce two new specialised LL.B. (Hons) law degrees—Criminal Justice and Commercial Law—designed for students eager to dive deep into the legal world through a hands-on, practical approach and in just three years instead of the usual four.
The LL.B. (Hons) in Criminal Justice offers a comprehensive education in criminal law, criminology, law enforcement, and the rights of the accused. Students benefit from a unique opportunity to gain real-world experience through the Innocence Project, where they work on actual cases to challenge miscarriages of justice. Griffith College Cork’s small class sizes ensure personalised attention, and the programme is taught by lecturers who are actively working solicitors, bringing up-to-date, practical insights into the classroom. Flexible study options, including full-time, part-time, or blended learning, are available to accommodate both school leavers and mature students. Best of all, this specialised law degree can be completed in just three years.
For those drawn to the dynamic world of business law, the LL.B. (Hons) in Commercial Law provides in-depth knowledge of international transactions, mergers, intellectual property, and financial regulations. Students can tailor their studies by choosing dispute resolution, trade law, and corporate finance electives. With a global perspective, this degree prepares students for international legal markets. Like the Criminal Justice programme, it is taught by lecturers who are experienced solicitors, ensuring students gain relevant, real-world expertise. The flexible study modes—full-time, part-time, or blended—make it possible to balance studies with other commitments, and the programme is also completed in three years, offering an accelerated path to a legal career.
Both degrees offer a blend of academic rigour and practical experience, with small class sizes, personalised support, and faculty members who are active legal practitioners. This combination of hands-on learning and expert guidance gives students the skills they need to excel in their legal careers, whether they want to specialise in criminal justice or commercial law.
