BBus.(Hons) in Tourism Management at MTU to owning a Tour Guiding Company

Posted on October 15, 2024 Ollie Gleeson completed the Bachelor of Business (Hons.) in Tourism Management at MTU’s Bishopstown Campus. He has gone on to set up and own his award-winning Tour Guiding Company in Co. Clare – Ollie’s Tours.
It was while studying at MTU that Ollie conceived his plan for a Tour Guiding Service in Co. Clare and pitched his first business plan to his lecturers, setting him on the road to owning his own business.
Ollie's Tours offers award winning tours of the Wild Atlantic Way. Ollie say:

As a broke student, I started tour guiding whilst living in Germany.

I fell in love with the art of storytelling and knew this was something I wanted to do for the rest of my life.

When I returned back to Ireland, I started small in my hometown of Ennis, where the town’s history was brought to life on the Best of Ennis Walking Tour.

Today, I am proud to say that every day, a small team of hardworking guides provides extraordinary experiences in some of Ireland’s most visited spots!
