From MTU to 5 Star Hotelier! Read Past Pupils Journey.

John Burchill is the Operations Managers at Cork’s only 5 Star Hotel – the award winning Hayfield Manor. John initially completed the BBus. In Culinary Arts at MTU’s Bishopstown Campus and then went on to complete the BBus. (Hons.) in Hospitality Management.

He continues to maintain close connections to the Department of Tourism & Hospitality, acting regularly as an industry expert on programme advice, giving student guest lectures and actively participating in our Careers Day. He also acts as a mentor to many students who complete their work placement in Hayfield Manor.
