This programme will provide learners with the knowledge, experience and practical skills necessary to work in a range of Early Years services for children aged 0-6 years. The award also provides the learner with the opportunity to progress into the Level 6 Advanced Certificate in Early Learning and Care and into higher education and training. This award is recognised both nationally and internationally.
This programme may be delivered through a blended (hybrid) learning model where learners will be required to attend on-site and online classes.

Career Progression
The new ELC award will be a professional class major award where learners will complete 150 hours professional practice placement in a Tusla registered Early Learning and Care setting. Successful graduates of the course are eligible to work in a variety of settings which include:
