This course is designed to train qualified Healthcare Assistants (HCAs) by providing them with the professional skills, knowledge, and hands-on work experience needed for employment across various clinical and community environments. The "Care of the Older Person" stream focuses on meeting the rising demand for frontline workers in hospitals, hospices, dementia care units, and residential or home-care settings.
Meanwhile, the "Disability Support" stream specializes in preparing students to assist individuals with disabilities and general learning difficulties, qualifying graduates to work in independent living community homes, nursing homes, and daily respite centers.
