This Pathways programme takes place with the employer and equips the learner with the vocational skills and knowledge with training and practical experience in the working environment. In addition to further developing the skills and knowledge gained during the off -the -job training elements, the learner will have the skills, knowledge and competency to work independently and under supervision is a range of construction industry contexts and or to progress to further and or higher education and training.  When completed the learner will have gained a broad foundation of knowledge and skills across the different construction disciplines especially those in carpentry, shuttering, blockwork and plastering. In addition, the mathematical and soft skills learned through the mathematics, communications and work experience modules will ensure that the learner progressing to an apprenticeship have the desired quality, suitability and competency for the courses.

On successful completion of this course learners will be awarded a 120 credit QQI level 5 Major Award in Construction Technology.
