The aim of the course is to provide an introduction to the study of literature and culture in an Irish context. The course further aims to equip learners with knowledge, skill and competence to critically approach artistic and literary production in Ireland. Learners will explore texts and artefacts from a range of perspectives to understand how cultural identify is both shaped and perceived.

In addition to gaining an excellent grounding in Anglo-Irish Literature and Irish culture, learners will also study History and Psychology to better frame their understanding of literature and cultural developments in an Irish context. The course also offers learners the opportunity to develop their creative writing and a range of practical skills in a friendly and supportive environment led by highly experienced teachers.
