This programme has been designed to enable participants to develop the knowledge and skills necessary to indentify tools, materials and structural components used in the construction of hard landscape features using soil, concrete, brick, block, stone and timber. On this programme participants will learn how to prepare foundations including digging and laying of hardcore correctly and the preparation of concreted both by hand or machine to specified requirements.

On completion participants will be able to con-struct flat features, lay an area with slabs of paving blocks, build a small wall with block, brick or stone and erect post and rail fence, pergola, trellis or area of decking.
