This course offers a common entry route into two B.Sc. courses in Actuarial Mathematics and Financial Mathematics.
Foundational courses includes training in algebra, probability, computing and statistics. This study helps students to make an informed choice about specialisation going forward.
Students who opt for the B.Sc. in Actuarial Mathematics have the opportunity to obtain exemptions from all the Core Technical examinations of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries.
Both courses offer an excellent route into well-paid, rewarding careers for students who like maths, who are good at it, and who are interested in seeing how maths is used in the world of business and finance.

There is an 8 month paid work placement (INTRA) which provides students with the opportunity to experience a real work environment facilitating informed decision about future career choice.
