This course allows students to develop their core knowledge of fashion to a more advanced level. It aims at developing creative and technical skills focused on gaining employment in the fashion industry and also allowing the student the opportunity to present a strong portfolio in fashion. Project work includes a wide range of activities including design, illustration, trend forecasting, styling, pattern cutting, garment construction, retailing and fashion photography. Students are encouraged to enter various fashion competitions and visit regular exhibitions and shows with a view to presenting their work for exhibition at the end of the school year with the college. The aim of the course is to give students skills which will have a strong grounding in the fashion industry.
