This is a portfolio preparation and general art course for students who wish to gain entry to a third level Art College in Ireland, the U.K. or abroad. The emphasis will be placed on the preparation of a balanced portfolio as well as developing skills in the art, craft and design areas. The portfolio, showing the student's individual sense of design and pattern, can use a wide variety of the modules covered on the course as well as the student's own interpretation of colour and design. Depending on the combination of modules a student can achieve a qualification in Fine Art or Design/2D.
