Rathmines College proposes to teach students the fundamentals of professional retail practice. Students will learn and acquire a core set of skills to equip them for both the workplace and higher education if they choose a progression route. This will include two essential modules, Retail Selling and Customer Care, bookended by a number of modules which will allow our students, and graduates to, with confidence, progress to the workplace. More importantly, the course will prepare students for the world of retail and for its online of digital/electronic equivalent. The work experience module will allow students to gain meaningful experience in their vocational area with carefully selected partners. The aim for Rathmines College will be to produce graduate who are suitably qualified and work ready. The course will address the surge in opportunities in retail and visual merchandising.
