The MSc in Medical Device Development has been co-developed between the Engineering faculty at MTU and the School of Medicine at UCC, along with a number of MedTech industry partners, as part of the iEd Hub suite of industry-facing programmes.

Entry Requirements
Applicants must have a minimum of a Second-Class Grade 1 (2.1) Honours Degree (NFQ level 8) in engineering, science, medicine or allied healthcare degree (or cognate discipline).
Consideration under Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) may also be given to applicants who do not meet the above entry requirements but who have relevant professional experience in a suitable field.
All applicants whose first language is not English must provide evidence of English language proficiency (IELTS score of at least 6.5 with no section below 6.0). English language tests must be undertaken no more than two years prior to the start of the programme.
For Applicants with Qualifications Completed Outside of Ireland
Applicants must meet the required entry academic grade, equivalent to Irish requirements. For more information see our Qualification Comparison page.
