This Postgraduate Certificate is a direct response to the National ESD to 2030 Strategy priority action area of ‘Building Capacities of Educators’. It utilizes a 6Cs framework focusing on Curriculum, Campus, Community, Collaborative Research, Culture, and Care. It seeks to create and nurture a dynamic community of practice, consisting of staff, students, and community stakeholders, who are committed to integrating and embedding inter-and transdisciplinary approaches to sustainability, climate action and justice, and the SDGs across all areas of academic practice.

Entry Requirements

Applicants must hold a Level 8 Bachelor (Honours) degree with a minimum grade classification of H2.2 or equivalent. Given the cross disciplinary nature of the programme, applicants may be from a range of disciplines.

1 semester part-time online.

Recommended Study Hours per week
The Postgraduate Certificate consists of five 3-hour online workshops covering the topics of Curriculum, Campus, Community, Collaborative Research and Culture. Self-paced activities, peer triad meet-ups and reflections, readings etc., will be completed in-between each online workshop. The final ‘Care’ workshop and Showcase will be facilitated in-person on campus.

On-Campus Attendance Requirement
On-campus attendance is required for the final ‘Care’ Workshop and Showcase.
