The UCD Ad Astra Academy Academic scholarship is a leadership programme for motivated students with high intellectual achievement. Up to 15 places for school leavers (6 H1s in Leaving Cert or equivalent) and up to 18 additional scholarships for stage two students (min GPA 3.68). Benefits include €3,000 annual bursary, guaranteed on-campus accommodation, academic mentoring, workshops, and networking opportunities.

The Aryabhatta Science Scholarship is a newly established competitive award offered by the College of Science to high-achieving students from India, seeking to study at undergraduate level in UCD. UCD has been successful in securing funding through the Ellucian Foundation's PATH Scholarship Programme in both 2023 and 2024. This allowed UCD to offer international undergraduate students facing financial difficulties a once-off award to help them successfully complete their studies. We hope that we will continue to be successful in securing funding in future to continue supporting students in financial need.

Awarded to the Leaving Certificate entrant with the highest points score from each school in the Republic of Ireland (min 500 points) and highest-scoring applicants from mainstream EU qualifications. Recipients receive a recognition certificate at a Spring ceremony and their achievement is recorded on their academic transcript.

24 scholarships for Irish-speaking students to live in 'Teach na Gaeilge' on campus while developing talents through social and cultural activities. Successful applicants live in the Irish-language residence and receive a percentage refund of accommodation costs. Applicants must demonstrate commitment to actively promoting the Irish language.

Scholarships available annually to students who enter UCD through the Higher Education Access Route (HEAR), Disability Access Route to Education (DARE), or Mature Years admissions route. Application forms and guidelines available each September. Supports students from socio-economically disadvantaged backgrounds, mature students, and those with disabilities.

100% and 50% tuition fee scholarships for outstanding international students on non-EU fee rates. Applicants must first receive an offer for an eligible undergraduate programme. Regional deadlines: 1 Feb (North America), 28 Feb (Middle East/Africa/Pakistan/South Asia), 31 March (all others). Results announced ~7 weeks post-deadline.

The UCD International Foundation Year Scholarship is awarded to students entering UCD through the International Foundation Year pathway programme. The scholarship is awarded at entry to the Foundation Year and lasts for the duration of the student's programme, subject to meeting certain criteria.

UCD offers three Sport Scholarship programmes, each designed to support students in achieving excellence both academically and athletically:

1. Ad Astra Elite Sports Scholarship (managed by the UCD Ad Astra Academy)
2. UCD Sport Scholarship
3. Graduate Sport Scholarship

These scholarships are for students who wish to compete and succeed at the highest sporting levels while completing a degree at UCD.

Applications are made entirely online. Links to apply will appear in line with the opening and closing dates for entry listed below. Please note that late applications cannot be accepted under any circumstances.

The UCD Sport Scholarship operates independently of the Ad Astra Elite Sports Scholarship (managed by the UCD Ad Astra Academy). However, applicants to the Ad Astra Elite Sports Programme may choose to have their application transferred to the UCD Sport Scholarship if unsuccessful. This can be done by ticking the relevant consent box on the Ad Astra application form. A separate application is not required in this case.

The Graduate Sport Scholarship is specifically for postgraduate students who continue to compete and succeed at the highest sporting level - both nationally and internationally - while pursuing further study at UCD.
