The Human Capital Initiative (HCI), a five-year project, investing €300m of National Training Fund (NTF) funding commenced in 2020. HCI aims to increase capacity in higher education to provide skills-focused programmes designed to meet priority skills needs. The Higher Education Authority (HEA) announced the launch of the Micro-Credentials Learner Fee Subsidy under the Human Capital Initiative, Pillar 3. Micro-credential courses are small, accredited courses designed to meet the demands of learners, enterprises and society. The International Consilio Manuque Medicine scholarships has been established by RCSI Alumni to support undergraduate students who have an exceptional academic record of accomplishment and have demonstrated determination and motivation to study medicine at RCSI. The Jason Foley Memorial Scholarship is in honour of the memory of Jason Foley who died on the basketball court of sudden cardiac death syndrome while playing for his local club Glenmary BC, Midleton.  Jason was a Commerce Student at the time of his death.

The Bursary, named after one of the founding fathers of the European Union Jean Monnet (1888-1979), wishes to acknowledge and appreciate the high calibre of students entering the programme each year, and is awarded to the entrant into First Year of the BA European Studies with the highest CAO points score in the Leaving Certificate.

The John Feely Foundation was established to commemorate the memory of the former President of ICMSA, Mr. John Feely.
The objective of the foundation is to provide financial support to individuals who intend to choose farming as a career or who wish to further their education as a farmer. The annual scholarships are awarded to four students in their first year of an agricultural course at one of the following agricultural colleges: Clonakilty; Kildalton; Pallaskenry; Gurteen; Mountbellew; Ballyhaise; or studying an agriculture-related course in another third level institution. The John Hume combined Credit Union scholarship is open to first year undergraduate business student and is presented to the best applicant from a first-year business programme in the school. The scholarship raises the profile of the relationship between business and the community and the relationship between the school and the credit union movement.
