Our University-wide Athlete Support Programme is one of Ireland’s most highly regarded performance programmes and is the third level sporting destination of choice for many aspiring sports performers.
Through our University-wide Athlete Support Programme, we are committed to supporting talented young athletes who have the potential to achieve success and excel at the highest level in their sport. A wide range of flexible athlete and academic support structures are provided to ensure success in their studies and in their sporting careers.
All undergraduate applicants should also apply through the CAO by the normal or late closing date of May and complete an online application form.

Gold Sports Scholarships cater for students competing at the very highest level of their chosen sport.

Springboard+ is co-funded by the Government of Ireland and the European Social Fund as part of the ESF programme for employability, inclusion and learning 2014-2020. Springboard+ in 2021 continues to have a dual focus of upskilling and reskilling people who remain out of the workforce and on upskilling those in employment. Human Capital Initiative Pillar 1 is funded by the National Training Fund. A 10% course fee contribution (€600) for graduate conversion courses is applicable for employed participants and recent graduates.
