What subjects did you take in school and how have these influenced your career path?
I was always interested in science and understanding how the universe works. I took chemistry, physics and technical drawing at Leaving Cert, in addition to maths; thus giving me a good preparation for studying science. I also took french (to have another language) and history (a personal interest choice). This choice was certainly pointing me in the direction of a science course. My research has also meant that having studied physics and maths was a good choice.
