What subjects did you take in school and how have these influenced your career path?

For my Leaving Certificate I studied English, Irish, Maths, Physics, French, Geography and History. My favourite subjects were Geography, Physics, French and English. I knew that I would like to study a combination of these subjects in further education. I think as regards a career path it’s a good idea to study subjects you like and are good at.

What subjects did you take in school and how have these influenced your career path?

I don’t really feel that any subject in school influenced my career path. IT was all about the work experience. I have always been interested in how things work and move.

I really think there is a gap there, I would have loved to have learned more about the sector in school. Always had an interest but no information.

What subjects did you take in school and how have these influenced your career path?

I chose honours subjects in English, History, Geography, and Home Economics. Ordinary level subjects included Maths, Irish and French. I often regret not doing a science subject, but I do feel that a good command of English is essential. Other than that, an Irish subject is required for a job in the Public Library Service in Ireland.
