What subjects did you take in school and how have these influenced your career path?
I always had a fondness for Maths and having an undergraduate Degree in Law and a professional qualification as a Solicitor, a career in tax allowed me to utilise my legal knowledge whilst developing a new skill in tax.
What subjects did you take in school and how have these influenced your career path?
I did business Organisation and Economics for my leaving cert which helped me understand business and work out it was something I wanted to do more of. This gave me a good base. There is nothing I would have changed as I'm a firm believer in just getting lots of experience and you never know when or how it'll benefit you in your career, but if you keep learning new things it has to be positive.
What subjects did you take in school and how have these influenced your career path?
I wasn’t 100% sure that I would end up in the science/engineering sector when I was at school. I found doing transition year really helped me to explore the various options that were available. This helped me to decide the subjects for my leaving certificate. I chose physics, chemistry & accounting, again keeping my options open. At the moment I am doing a masters for which I have to do aspects of accounting & economics so the accounting I did for my leaving has come in handy!
