What subjects did you take in school and how have these influenced your career path?
I studied event management and later art history. Both have been invaluable—event management gave me the technical skills and knowledge, while art history helped me develop a keen eye for detail and an appreciation for beauty, both of which are crucial in event planning.
What subjects did you take in school and how have these influenced your career path?
I don’t really feel that any subject in school influenced my career path. IT was all about the work experience. I have always been interested in how things work and move.
I really think there is a gap there, I would have loved to have learned more about the sector in school. Always had an interest but no information.

I started Commerce in NUIG in 2015, lasted a year as I listened to other people’s opinions too much then took a year out (one of the best decisions I ever made) then went on and studied Business in Tourism in Cork. This was a 3 year course and one of the years I got to study abroad in Munich (other option was Madrid) this was one of the best years of my life and I met my future wife. If you have the choice to do an Erasmus year DO IT!!!
