The Level 6 Logistics Associate apprenticeship is a great opportunity for school leavers to gain employment in the Freight Transport industry.
This programme offers career options to school leavers and mature students who would prefer to have paid, on-the-job training while studying for a qualification rather than going to college full time.
The apprenticeship is a two-year programme delivered by TU Dublin - City Campus. It involves four days per week on-the-job, and one day per week off-the-job in college.
The Transport Operations & Commercial Driving Apprenticeship provides the academic qualification and practical training and work experience that supports a vibrant and exciting career in the freight distribution and logistics sector. Apprentices will also receive expert driving lessons and training in advance of completing their C / CE driving test and attaining the Driver CPC qualification.
Training modules are delivered by ATU Sligo.
The purpose of the programme is to address the staffing and skills shortage of vehicle operatives/commercial drivers in the transport industry by having an apprenticeship route into this occupation.
Apprentices will be assigned a workplace Mentor who will guide the Apprentice through their journey on this programme. Click here for full details.
