Sustainable Timber Technology is an exciting 4-year, full-time immersive course featuring a mix of theoretical and skills-based modules. This programme has been designed to afford students the opportunity to develop their creativity, artistic identity, and introductory to tattoo artistry skills and knowledge. Students may further their experience in the Tattoo Industry through a work experience placement. This course is a stepping stone to employment in a Tattoo Parlour. An apprenticeship as a Tattoo Artist or setting up a business. Progression to third level is an option, such as Art, Craft & Design colleges and various media courses around the country.

This course has been developed to meet the training requirements of graduates from other non-agricultural award programme who are interested in farming.

The course comprises two awards, the Level 5 Certificate in Agriculture (120 credits) and the Level 6 Specific Purpose Certificate in Farming (50 credits), and consists of a combination of formal course work and a period of practical learning. The formal course work is split between practical/ skills training and classroom (theoretical) sessions.

The course consists of a range of mandatory and elective modules such as: farm business and IT; principles of agriculture; farm safety; farm assurance; farm enterprise production modules; safe use of pesticides; farm performance and management modules; grass production modules, and environmental modules. Students choose a cluster of elective modules in one of the following specialisms: dairy production, drystock production, machinery and crop production.

The programme has been accredited by Engineers Ireland at Associate Engineer Level. Due to the mix of business & engineering subjects, graduates have a strong track record of securing employment. All subjects on the course are taught as if you have never experienced that subject before, and are taught through lectures, tutorials and/or practical hands-on sessions.
