The curriculum focuses on developing both the technical skills and theoretical knowledge required to meet the high standards of modern hairdressing. Upon successful completion of this course, students are equipped to secure a valuable placement as an apprentice in a commercial hairdressing salon, paving the way for earned progression and formal qualification.

This one year course is aimed at those who would like to pursue a career in hairdressing. Subjects within the course are tailored to suit the hairdressing industry and include cutting, styling, colouring, Hair-upstyling, Hair Extensions wigs, perming, and barbering techniques. 

Students will learn and practice their skills in the onsite hairdressing salons and will have the opportunity to work on models. Work experience is an integral part of the course enhancing employability skills.

The course has been designed to meet the needs of the security industry in line with the terms of the Private Security Services Act 2004.
