This course will prepare you for a highly rewarding career, educating and supporting young children during a vital time in their development. The Bachelor of Early Childhood Education (BECE) prepares you for work as a professional in a variety of early childhood educational settings, from preschools and creches, to child and family support programmes and it equips graduates to work with children of all needs. The BECE enables graduates to follow a career in a range of voluntary and statutory organisations that work on behalf of children and families.

During the programme you will learn about adult, adolescent and early childhood education through attendance at classes, hands on learning, reading and skill development.

The modules delivered on the programme encompass the themes of life-long learning, ethics and social justice, education and culture, and education policies and practices. The modules cover technology, the arts, curriculum and programme design, policy analysis and much more.

This programme places great emphasis on teaching and research. Graduates are qualified to teach Business Studies and Accounting to honours Leaving Certificate level. 

This programme places great emphasis on teaching and research and as part of their development as research-active teachers, students undertake an Undergraduate Dissertation. The Dissertation can be in either Education or a Subject discipline. Students begin the preparation for the dissertation in Year 3 where they undertake their research methods module.

The degree programme includes four years of modules in Irish and Religious Studies. These are taken concurrently with education modules which include theoretical, pedagogical and professional studies along with a number of school placement experiences.

The Teaching Council requires Irish language teachers to have spent a minimum of three months on residential placement in a designated Gaeltacht area prior to registering with it.

The Bachelor of Education in Home Economics is a four-year, concurrent level eight degree, university accredited and recognised by the Teaching Council of Ireland. This professional qualification is designed to provide students with the knowledge, skills, attitudes, values and beliefs necessary for teaching Home Economics to the highest level in the post-primary sector. The study of education is undertaken concurrently with study in the subject discipline Home Economics in each of the four years of the programme. School placement is a key feature of the programme and students undertake a school-based placement each year.

The Bachelor of Education in Home Economics and Biology is a full-time, concurrent teacher education degree leading to a National Framework of Qualifications (NFQ) Level 8 honours degree.

Upon graduation students will meet all the Teaching Council requirements to be registered as a Newly Qualified Teacher (NQT) of Home Economics and Religious Education. 

Students are educated in the most current methodologies and technologies available to enhance the teaching of their subject areas at post-primary level. The degree programme includes four years of modules in Mathematics and Business Studies. These are taken concurrently with education modules, which include theoretical, pedagogical and professional studies along with a number of school placement experiences.

Students are educated in the most current methodologies and technologies available to enhance the teaching of their subject areas at post-primary level. The degree programme includes four years of modules in Gaeilge and Mathematics. These are taken concurrently with education modules which include theoretical, pedagogical and professional studies along with a number of school placement experiences.

The overall aim of the two stage programme is to enable learners to develop the knowledge, skills, and competence to work as autonomous practitioners, subject to practice supervision, promoting and supporting the holistic needs of children from 0 to six years, and/or to take responsibility for a room or area in an ELC setting*.

This award also provides the learner with the opportunity to transfer and progress into further and higher education and training.

The current qualification requirement for room leaders is Level 6 (DCEDIY, register of recognised Early Years qualifications.) Qualifications for different roles in ELC may be subject to change in line with evolving national policy.

The programme leads to a new award, the Advanced Certificate in Early Learning and Care 6M21471.

This programme has been designed to allow graduates to work in an industry embarking on the rapid transition to electrified propulsion, namely Electric Vehicle. We are delighted to be supported in the roll-out of this course by Jaguar Land Rover and Hyundai who are major players in Ireland in the transition to Electric Vehicles. The programme covers technology associated with a wide range of vehicles, including cars, public transport vehicles, goods vehicles, and specialist industrial vehicles.

This course will educate you to an honours level in electrical and electronic engineering. It meets the educational standard required for chartered engineering membership of Engineers Ireland.

You can specialise in Power Systems Engineering, Control Engineering, Communications Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or Computer Engineering.

Students design, supervise and operate complex systems and products within topics such as circuits, sensors, power and control systems and automation.

This course is designed for aspiring technicians who are eager to deepen their understanding of electrical systems and renewable energy solutions.

The course explores cutting-edge sustainable systems, practices and technologies, including electrical, solar, wind and energy management solutions required to transition towards a more sustainable energy future.
