The BSc in Computer Science is a full-time four-year degree course that encompasses all aspects of computer systems (both software and hardware) and ICT (information and communication technology), including software development, database technology, computer networks, operating systems, algorithms, security, web technology and applications.

Computer Science (Common Entry) offers exposure to a variety of subjects relating to different areas of computing such as general programming, knowledge of computer architecture, games modelling, and an understanding of the mathematical basis that underpins computing. Computer Science (Infrastructure) is about developing software and infrastructure for applications ranging from those on smart devices to those in global corporations. This course provides the skills required to build data centres and networks, and to develop software securely, individually and in teams.

You’ll gain a working knowledge of the components of a computer and a network, become familiar with the components of an operating system, and learn to administrate large distributed systems.

B.A. (Mod) in Computer Science, Linguistics and a Language. CSLL combines the study of Computer Science; a natural language, either Spanish, French or Irish; and Linguistics.

The computer science component of CSLL seeks to impart a mastery of the techniques and technologies that lie behind what you see on the screen of one of today's computers, giving you a full understanding the computer applications of today, and enabling you to participate in the development of the applications of the future.
