The PLC Access course is aimed at learners coming directly from a Youthreach or Leaving Certificate Applied (LCA) course. This bridging programme allows learners to experience college life in Monaghan Institute in a supported environment, while completing Level 4 and 5 modules. Learners can sample the course areas they are interested in progressing to in Monaghan Institute. Learners may be entitled to a training allowance and supports including access to a laptop to help them complete the Access course. This General Learning Programme aims to provide a foundation in subjects which students may wish to study at Third Level. While graduates of this course may apply to any Third Level Institute, Plunket College of Further Education is a partner to the Trinity Access Programme (TAP).
