We will support those in public sector roles, or the private sector, be they individuals, organisations or destinations who are striving to be leaders in their sustainability journey. Together, we will learn about developing sustainable tourism and event experiences, minimise environmental impact, and create events that leave a positive impact.

This programme considers the development of ESG reporting standards within the EU, which significantly influence both public and private sectors. As we collectively strive for greater sustainability, this programme integrates these critical areas into its curriculum and engages in many collaborations with tourism service providers.

This program explores specialised knowledge and practical techniques for sustainable tourism management, aligning with the UN Sustainable Development Goals 2030 (SDGs). The tourism and hospitality industry is adapting to meet increasing consumer demand for ethical and sustainable practices.

The Sustainable Fashion Design course opens many opportunities in the fashion design industry. Sustainable Fashion Design students focus on designing and making sustainable clothing for the circular economy. Design for circular fashion involves designing garments with the planet and climate in mind and focuses on ideals of longevity, durability and planning for the life cycle of the garment.

Pattern drafting and garment construction provide the learner with the skills required to make their own outfits based on their own designs. All coursework combines to form a portfolio suitable for application to Degree programmes, although most of our students choose to progress to our Advanced Fashion Design course.

This is a one-year, full-time programme that affords students the opportunity to develop their creativity and artistic identity skills. It will be an introduction to tattoo artistry skills and knowledge.

This course is a stepping stone to an apprenticeship as a Tattoo Artist, and to develop a portfolio of work to assist with working within the Tattoo industry.

The course offers a diverse range of modules to enhance your understanding of the Irish Education system. It also focuses on building the key skills: communication, critical reflection, and research skills necessary for educational settings.

This course has been developed to meet the training requirements of graduates from other non-agricultural award programme who are interested in farming.

The course comprises two awards, the Level 5 Certificate in Agriculture (120 credits) and the Level 6 Specific Purpose Certificate in Farming (50 credits), and consists of a combination of formal course work and a period of practical learning. The formal course work is split between practical/ skills training and classroom (theoretical) sessions.

The course consists of a range of mandatory and elective modules such as: farm business and IT; principles of agriculture; farm safety; farm assurance; farm enterprise production modules; safe use of pesticides; farm performance and management modules; grass production modules, and environmental modules. Students choose a cluster of elective modules in one of the following specialisms: dairy production, drystock production, machinery and crop production.

This advanced level programme is designed to give comprehensive coverage to the broad range of legal issues arising from technology and intellectual property in this digital age.

The course will offer an insight into the world of cybercrime and suggest possible corporate risk-management strategies that companies can implement. Separately, we will analyse applicable torts, such as defamation, and the rights and duties attaching to social media, blogging, and internet usage. Recent regulatory and legislative changes relating to online safety will be examined.

In this 4 year degree programme you will study subjects which cover the principles and practice of Technology Management. Technology Management has been designed and developed in consultation with a panel of leading industrial experts to ensure that you will have the skills needed by industry. You will experience a broad range of subjects that will give you a good insight into the workings of modern industry.

The programme has been accredited by Engineers Ireland at Associate Engineer Level. Due to the mix of business & engineering subjects, graduates have a strong track record of securing employment. This course is for students who want to tell stories and express themselves through drama, comedy, non-fiction and formatted genres. Immerse yourself in the multi-disciplinary world of modern television content creation, from traditional linear TV to multi-platform content. Although the ways in which consume, shape and interact with the medium are changing, the core skills of good storytelling remain.

The BA (Hons) in Textile & Fashion Design is a 3-year course following the first-year common entry course. Topics on the programme include Photography, Digital Media, Design History & Theory, Creative Problem Solving, Business & Entrepreneurial skills and an Ethical and Sustainable Design ethos. Textile & Fashion Design students will learn about fashion concepts, textile and surface design, woven textile design and practice, accessory design, fashion textile research and development, 3D construction, textile fabrication, and fashion directions.

Design outcomes are realised through the production of design samples, fabric collections, visualisations and/or products and prototypes. The college offers an excellent range of facilities for realising design work including digital print, screen print, transfer print and weaving while external manufacturing services such as laser-cutting, computer-aided weaving, multi-head embroidery, and finishing are also utilised. 

Theatre and Drama Studies is a practice-based course for those intending to pursue a career in theatre or dramatic arts. Individual acting skills, voice production, ensemble performance and related theatre design and technical audio visual studies equip the student to work in live theatre, broadcast media or community-based arts facilitation.

This honours degree course centres on theatre performance training, with supporting modules to facilitate wider career options. The course aims to produce artists that are physically and vocally flexible and intellectually alive and curious. 

Our BA (Hons) Theatre & Performative Practices degree at University College Cork (UCC) is a window to the exciting world of theatre and performance. Our programme explores the world of theatre and the wide spectrum of performance: such as dance, outdoor performance, and music theatre. Our teaching focuses on three key themes; Making theatre, Theatre for change, The business of theatre and performance production.

The Performing Arts program provides a high-energy, creative environment where students can refine their craft in acting, auditioning, and technical stage production. The curriculum is built on the principle of creative collaboration, challenging students to work alongside peers to produce professional-grade performances while discovering their individual artistic strengths. A significant portion of the training takes place outside the traditional classroom, as students utilize various professional theaters and performance venues to gain practical experience. 

The course offers an academic and practical immersion in performance arts, with a heavy emphasis on exploring the student’s own creative expression and artistic experimentation. This exciting course will offer students unique training in theatre and event management and is the only course of its kind in the Southeast. Students will be involved in all aspects of theatre, from acting, to performance, to make- up, to planning and staging an event.

Students will deep- dive into the history of theatrical tradition and use this learning to create productions of their own. They will also learn about the main acting schools and disciplines and explore their own unique performance ‘voice’. The course is designed to explore and experiment with performance art genres, so that participants can progress confidently towards their goals and gain immense knowledge about their own creative identity, skills, and talents.
