This course is an introduction to 2D and 3D computer game design and development. This course will examine all aspects of computer game production and development from concept to digital art, 3D Modelling and Sound Design. Successful learners will acquire a comprehensive knowledge of game design and development techniques and theory as well as an extensive portfolio of work including a number of individually crafted games.

This unique course is the first 3D animation undergraduate degree in Ireland. It will allow you to understand the highly artistic and technical practices that are involved in creating characters, stories and worlds using advanced digital technologies.

Learn both advanced technical and creative skills to understand 3D animation pipelines, including character, design, world building, animation principles, lighting, rendering along with other specialised areas.

This course is running in partnership with Creative Futures Academy (CFA).

The MIC Ability Pathways (MAP) Project aims to provide a pathway to meaningful community engagement for people with intellectual disability, in an inclusive third level environment which has an established history of educational excellence and community inclusion. The project aims to provide education, training and meaningful employment opportunities for people with an intellectual disability who are committed to lifelong learning.

The Access Course is a 1 year course that aims to provide mature students (aged 23 or over on year of entry to a degree programme) with the opportunity to prepare, personally and academically, for an undergraduate course of full-time study of at least three years duration at NUI, Galway.

The School Leavers course is designed for students who are 22 years of age or under who have already completed a Leaving Certificate, QQI level 5 or 6 qualification or equivalent. 

The Access Foundation Programme (AFP) is a one-year full-time course preparing students, both personally and academically, to pursue undergraduate programmes at TU Dublin. Students are based on the Aungier Street campus.

Graduates from the programme move on to undergraduate courses across a range of disciplines offered at the university, including Science and Health, IT and Computing, Engineering and Built Environment, Social Science, Business, Hospitality, Arts and Tourism.
