The BA in Communications is a three-year full-time programme which aims to give learners an introduction to communications platforms including photography, radio, journalism, and TV. The one year Level 5 award enables the learner to acquire the knowledge, skills and competence to work under supervision in a variety of healthcare settings. This enables them to enhance their role in provision to service users or to progress to further and or higher education and training.

This programme may be delivered through a blended (hybrid) learning model where learners will be required to attend on-site and online classes.

This course is suitable for both mature students and school leavers, who would like to work in the area of health and social care. This QQI Award provides the opportunity to pursue a fulfilling and rewarding career providing care and support to vulnerable people in the community. Students will acquire knowledge of health and social care theories and best practice. Students will also acquire practical experience on work placement. This could include a variety of settings such as resource centres, hostels for homeless, addiction services and youth projects.
