This apprenticeship consists of four on-the-job phases with an approved employer and three off-the-job phases in an educational organisation. Apprentices will be invited to attend their off-the-job training phases in accordance with the SOLAS scheduling system.

On completion of this four-year apprenticeship, you will become a fully qualified carpenter and joiner, with a QQI Level 6 Advanced Certificate Craft – Carpentry and Joinery.

You will go on to be employed in the construction industry on building sites, in a joinery shop or in maintenance and other areas like renovating buildings, shopfitting, exhibition/display work.

Many craftspersons use their qualification as a platform to launch careers such as managers, owners of businesses and instructors amongst others.

This course delivers essential technical proficiency in woodworking and building construction, emphasizing craftsmanship and structural integrity. It is strategically designed for individuals aiming to secure apprenticeships or progress into higher-level construction degrees, providing the hands-on experience and safety knowledge required for the modern building industry.

This one year full-time course at Post-Leaving Certificate level is designed for students who aspire to apprenticeships in Carpentry & Joinery or related trades. It also allows successful students the opportunity to progress into further studies at Third Level or Further Education.

This hands-on course focuses on modern wood construction with a strong emphasis on NZEB (Nearly Zero Energy Building) standards. You will gain practical experience in energy-efficient building techniques, from airtight construction to sustainable material use.The course also introduces furniture making, giving you the foundational skills to design and craft custom wood pieces, blending functionality with craftsmanship.

If you enjoy working with food and helping others, this course is a great way to start your journey in the catering and food service industry. The Catering Programme offers practical, real-life training in kitchen and customer service skills, all in a supportive and structured environment.

You’ll learn how to prepare and serve food safely, work as part of a team, and deliver great service. You’ll also get the chance to practice your skills on work placement with local employers, giving you valuable experience that can lead to a job or further training.

This course is an inclusive program designed for individuals of all experience levels Students are introduced to the fundamental building blocks of visual art—including line, shape, form, and texture—while gaining hands-on experience in painting, drawing, sculpture, and printmaking. The curriculum focuses on nurturing raw enthusiasm into technical skill, encouraging participants to express their unique creative voices through various mediums. 

This one-year full-time Art course is specifically designed for mature students who wish to deepen their existing art practices through a practical and engaging curriculum. The program offers a diverse mix of creative disciplines, including painting, drawing, creative ceramics, printmaking, and image processing, all underpinned by art appreciation studies. A key feature of the course is its focus on experiential learning, with regular visits to galleries and exhibitions alongside location-based field trips that allow students to work in various environments. By the end of the year, learners will have cultivated a clear personal direction in their work, providing them with the confidence and technical foundation to continue as independent artists or to advance toward a Fine Arts degree.
