This one-year course provides learners with an introduction to professional music recording and production techniques using industry standard software including Apple Logic Pro, Avid Pro Tools and Ableton Live. The aim of this Minor Award is to support practitioners who are dealing with those bereaved by suicide.  It is designed to allow learners to understand the complex nature of suicide bereavement and the psychological havoc that is created in the lives of suicide survivors. It will also introduce the learners to a range of individual and group interventions to help facilitate the healing process. Learners on this programme will engage in teaching, discussion and engagement with key scientific literature related to the post-suicide landscape, the key principles of intervening with this client group and the therapeutic resources and responses that are appropriate.

This course is designed for aspiring actors aged 12–15, this program offers an early introduction to professional actor training. Participants experience the environment of a premier theatre academy while honing their skills under the guidance of The Lir Academy’s core tutors. It is ideal for young performers eager to gain a head start in their craft within a supportive, conservatory-style setting.

The course is designed for young actors aged 13-15 who have a passionate interest in performing and would like to have an early start in acting training. Participants will get a taste of the environment of a theatre academy and hone their skills under the supervision of core Lir Academy tutors. The programme introduces young performers to the key components of actor training such as: Acting & Improvisation, Voice & Speech and Movement & Physical Theatre in a supportive, fun and educational environment.

This course is an excellent first step for young actors who are passionate about being on stage and want to work towards a career in theatre and drama.
