The new BA (Honours) in Recruitment Practice is a three-year apprenticeship degree created in partnership with the Employment and Recruitment Federation (ERF). This recruitment apprenticeship programme is the first of its kind in Ireland and there are no other Level 8 degree programmes in recruitment or qualifications in recruitment that are on the National Framework of Qualifications.

They can work in industries such as domestic, marine, commercial and industrial. They can install, maintain and repair items such as household, hospital, hotel and shop refrigerators, display cabinets, deep freezers, cooling plants, cold rooms and refrigerated transport.

This programme will provide you with the professional, social, technical and administrative skills necessary to offer a quality service to domestic and overseas visitors.

This programme covers all the technologies needed to produce energy and in particular electrical energy from renewable sources, to monitor and control energy systems and to connect them to the electricity grid. It is a mixture of theory and practical hands-on learning in all aspects of Renewable Energy Technology, electrical technology and automated monitoring and control systems.

As part of this Renewable and Engineering Technology (Year 2) course, students are given the opportunity to gain work experience in a relevant company for 2-3 days per week with class contact confined to 3 full-time days per week. There is a very high employment rate from this course.

A traineeship combines classroom-based learning in Monaghan Institute with work based learning within Ohk Energy Group or other renewable energy specialists, thus providing the opportunity to develop skills, knowledge and competence within a supportive working environment.

This traineeship is tailored for practical individuals who thrive in outdoor working environments working as part of a dynamic and sustainable industry.

The aim of this course is to equip students with a comprehensive understanding of renewable energy systems, their technologies, and their applications in the construction sector.

In this course, learners will explore various renewable energy technologies, including solar, wind, and geothermal systems, and learn how to incorporate them into construction processes to contribute to the construction of energy-efficient and environmentally friendly building.

This full-time course is designed to prepare learners for work in bars, restaurants and hotels. The course creates a learning environment, in which the emphasis is on the practical application of the skills necessary, to work in the dynamic and ever- changing sectors of food and beverage. Learners will learn barista skills, bar skills and restaurant service skills in a practical real-life bar and restaurant setting. Students may have the opportunity to apply for an Erasmus+ placement.
