This one year Programming and Software Development with Cyber Security is to develop skills and knowledge required in the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) sector. This course may also be of interest to graduates with qualifications in non-computer disciplines who wish to pursue training in this area.

This programme will prepare you with the skills and knowledge you need for a career in the world of property and estate agency and for progression to further study.

Students will gain a comprehensive understanding of the various methods and roles involved in selling and managing property in Ireland to include legal structures, taxation and marketing strategies. Students will also understand the economic factors influencing property and property valuation methods while developing their IT skills through the use of Excel in compiling reports, rent roll management, maintenance schedules, quotations, valuations, market analysis and tenant communication logs.

Property economics is concerned with all aspects of property: investment, asset management, development, valuation and research, with a focus on finance and the commercial property market sector.

This course will prepare you for a career in commercial property investment and development – i.e. retail (shopping), office and industrial. You can go on to work in valuation surveying, real estate, property investment and management, auctioneering and estate agency in Ireland and abroad. 

This is a four year honours degree programme incorporating three academic years and one full year of industrial work placement in third year. The aim of the programme is to develop a property professional who possesses the knowledge, skills and competencies required to work in the diverse sectors of the property industry such as valuation, estate agency, marketing, property management, investment, development, corporate real estate, research and land-use planning.

Psychiatric/Mental Health nursing is a specialist field within the health care profession. It involves an interpersonal caring process which acknowledges the uniqueness of each person. The psychiatric nurse is concerned with the promotion of mental health, the prevention of mental illness and the provision of care to those with mental health problems.

A career in psychology could be perfect for you. This Psychological Society of Ireland-accredited course was the first psychology programme in Ireland to offer a work placement opportunity. In third year, you’ll do an INTRA placement in a clinical, corporate or other environment.

While psychologists differ in their interests and the type of work they do, they all approach the study of behaviour in a scientific way. During the course, you’ll gain knowledge, skills and experience in all core areas in psychology. This four-year honours degree in Psychology provides a broad introduction to the discipline, followed by coverage of the core areas of study required for accreditation by the Psychological Society of Ireland, as well as allowing you to specialise in advanced areas in your final year of study. You will cover areas such as social, developmental, biological and cognitive psychology as well as personality and individual differences and research methods and statistics. You will also have an opportunity to undertake study abroad as well as work in an area relevant to psychology during your degree.

This interdisciplinary three year degree course in Psychology offers students the opportunity to follow a major course in psychology alongside minor study in an associate humanities discipline. Psychology is the scientific study of behavior and mental processes.

As such, the mission of the BA (Honours) in Psychology is to help students learn to think like psychologists. To achieve this goal, students generate and evaluate empirical evidence while considering theoretical perspectives of the discipline.

The BA (Hons) in Psychology is taught over 3 years full-time (or 4 years part-time). In the programme, learners engage with the core areas of psychology, including developmental, social, and cognitive psychology, abnormal psychology, psychotherapy, and neuropsychology.

A significant component of the programme is also dedicated to equipping learners with a strong capability in research methods, culminating in an independent research project.

An application for accreditation of this programme has been submitted to The Psychological Society of Ireland (PSI).

The programme blends both the scientific subject of Psychology and application of Psychology. The scientific study of mind and behaviour addresses six core areas: personality and individual differences, cognitive psychology, biopsychology, social psychology, developmental psychology and research methods.

Combined, these core areas provide graduates with the necessary psychological knowledge to pursue postgraduate studies in Psychology.
