The Honours Degree in Horticulture (Top Up), validated by Ulster University, enhances the the science, technology and innovation taught at Foundation Degree and students undertake a reasearch project in a topic of their choice. The Hospice care course provides students with the knowledge, skills and competence to work under supervision in providing support in a variety of Healthcare settings or to progress to further and or higher education and training.

This course aims to provide students with the knowledge, skills, and understanding to care for individuals with serious illnesses in a hospice setting. Students will learn about the unique needs of hospice patients, including pain and symptom management, psychological and spiritual support, and end-of-life care. With this foundation of knowledge, students can support the team providing care, communicate effectively with patients and families, and provide a warm and comforting environment.

Hospital administration includes a diverse array of job duties to ensure that patients receive quality care and communication while at a medical facility. Situated with the largest hospital campus in the country on our doorstep, this exciting course is designed to assist you gain employment in medical administration.

If you see yourself employed as a liaison between the patient and medical staff in a hospital or medical setting, then then our highly committed team will train you in computer and reception skills, communication techniques, the use of appropriate medical terminology and relevant work experience. Students will attend college four days each week and are required to complete one day per week work experience in a medical administration environment. There will also be a two-week block placement.
