This Pathways programme takes place with the employer and equips the learner with the vocational skills and knowledge with training and practical experience in the working environment. In addition to further developing the skills and knowledge gained during the off -the -job training elements, the learner will have the skills, knowledge and competency to work independently and under supervision is a range of construction industry contexts and or to progress to further and or higher education and training.  When completed the learner will have gained a broad foundation of knowledge and skills across the different construction disciplines especially those in carpentry, shuttering, blockwork and plastering. In addition, the mathematical and soft skills learned through the mathematics, communications and work experience modules will ensure that the learner progressing to an apprenticeship have the desired quality, suitability and competency for the courses.

It is designed to provide students with the knowledge and skills associated with environmentally sustainable building and construction technology. The course enables students to develop practical skills in the areas of building construction and wood fabrication.

This one year Construction Technology: Renewable Energies and Engineering course will introduce you to the skills of environmental construction and civil engineering, which may allow you to progress to construction, architecture and engineering courses in Higher Education or go directly in to employment. Completing this pre-apprenticeship will give you a competitive edge when applying for apprenticeship jobs. The new and exciting Contemporary Applied Art Degree course explores contemporary ideas, use of materials and offers students the opportunity to creatively develop and make objects.
